Many men with localised prostate cancer will never need treatment.Furthermore prostate cancer is frequently diagnosed in elderly men or patients with very significant comorbidities in whom treatment usually carries more risks than the cancer itself.<\/p>\n<p>If your test results show your cancer is unlikely to spread outside the prostate, you may decide to have your cancer monitored. This means you won\u2019t have treatment unless the cancer starts to grow or you get symptoms.
